Summary0000202: Poor display quality.
DescriptionBart de Kramer [bart@radiozeeland.com] reports problems with display after changing from 0.12 to V0.24.
Additional InformationWe had some problems with connecting the PicoMod3 with the PC via ActiveSync. A few weeks ago we found the solution for this on the F&S forum; update the kernel from version 0.12 to version 0.24. After updating the kernel we didn’t have problems with the connection but some other problems occurs. Like you can see in the pictures we now have a problem with the display. We use the same display driver as before (I’ve added the driver we use to this email) and we did test this problem on different devices.
Another problem we did get afer updating is that, after the PicoMod3 is started, an error occurs on the display (see picture error.jpg). we still can execute our program and we didn’t found anything that doesn’t work, but we are wondering what this error means.
Do you know these problems and, more important, do you have solutions for it?

We have checked customers PNG image.
PNG contains 8 bit alpha channel which was not interpreted in PM3 kernel version 012.
With version 014 (see history file) we have added alphablend kernel module.
My suggestion to solve your problem is to use pictures without alpha channel, best will be to convert PNG to BMP format.
