Summary | 0003802: Adding network bridging to fsimx6sx causes WLAN driver to fail
Description | A customer wants to add network bridging and firewall support to his efusA9X. But even small modifications in the network stack cause the Silex WLAN driver to crash. This driver is only available in binary form for the customers. Changing the network settings seems to cause compatibility issues, for example because additional entries appear or disappear in some generic network structures. The pre-compiled Silex driver is not aware of this, accesses the wrong members, gets wrong results and eventually fails. The only possibility that we see is that we add more features to the network stack by default, so that most customers will be satisfied. Then we build the Silex driver against this stack and tell customers not to change anything in this configuration anymore.
