Summary | 0003713: Ethernet PHYs are active in Linux after booting even if Network is never used
Description | If Linux does not activate any Ethernet port, the Ethernet PHYs are still active, using significantly more current. This will only be corrected if every port is activated once and then deactivated again. Then the PHYs are off. The reason for this is that Ethernet is activated in U-Boot in any case but then it is not shut down again, which means the PHYs are still running even if Linux keeps the CPU part of the Ethernet port switched off.
