Summary | 0002295: Allow Linux compilation from a local directory
Description | BuildRoot assumes that all sources are unpacked from a package and the built in subdir output/build. However we want to have the possibility to use a kernel that is provided in a separate local directory and not by a tar archive or similar. This makes parallel development/modification of kernel and buildroot easier. And a customer can modify the provided kernel in this separate directory without having to fear that a make clean will delete all his modifications as it would be if he did that in output/build/linux-custom.
