| Summary | 0001514: Sound does not work after reboot (warm start) | ||||
| Description | After power-up, audio via SGTL5000 does work perfectly. After a warm start the codec seems to hang, either when issuing I2C commands or when starting sound output. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Start board into linux, log in, type speaker-test -c 2 -t wav Stop with Ctl-C and immediately type reboot within the next 3 seconds. On PicoMOD7A, the restart will hang with an I2C error, on armStoneA8 and NetDCU14, the boot process will succeed, but starting the speaker-test again results in an error: Write error: -5,Input/output error xrun_recovery failed: -5,Input/output error Transfer failed: Operation not permitted | ||||
| Additional Information | If we wait longer than about 5 seconds before rebooting, everything will work fine. Because after this time, the codec is brought into standby mode again. So it seems that in the other case some still running resources are blocking the restart, but in standby mode everything is OK again. | ||||
