Summary | 0001411: nand read loads bad data from NAND but shows no error | ||||
Description | Customer reports that a kernel image was loaded from NAND without error, but the kernel did not boot. Comparing with the original file showed a 1-bit-error on one byte: 0x0C -> 0x8C. Re-writing the erroneous block with the correct data resulted again in a bootable kernel. Why doesn't U-Boot show an error then? Why doesn't it fix the 1-bit error via ECC? | ||||
