Summary | 0001253: Long filenames not fully supported on VFAT devices |
---|
Description | Long filenames can be listed on VFAT devices with fatls, but when loading such a file with fatload, only the short 8.3 filename is used. |
---|
Steps To Reproduce | Create two files abcdefghi.txt and abcdefghj.txt on a VFAT device (e.g. USB stick). Then list the files with fatls. You will see the above long names. Then try to load abcdefghi.txt with fatload. The file is not found. You have to load abcdef~1.txt instead and abcdef~2.txt for the second file. |
